“Never underestimate the influence you have on others.”
― Laurie Buchanan, PhD
This quote pretty much describes one of the main reasons why I created this blog. So many times I’ve found myself thinking “how do my actions or words impact anyone else? I’m just one person.” When in actuality, one person is all it takes to make a difference. This quote also relates to this weeks post (so if you haven’t read it, you might want to take a peek). A parent, a teacher, a singer, an athlete, an entrepreneur; these are just some of the many individuals who have a big influence every day. A simple gesture as saying hi to someone walking by every day can influence them to do the same. Now think about if that person starts saying hi to everyone as well and influences another person. This can potentially change the actions of many, but it only took one person’s actions to do it. I have talked to a couple of my friends regarding my blog; and I have told them that I didn’t do it to become known or popular. I did it in the hopes that if my post can influence one person to pursue their dream, or have a more positive outlook in life, even make a small change to better the world then I’m happy. So if you ever feel like what you do won’t make a difference, just remember your actions can change someone’s life or even change the world in a better way.
