Every day is a new beginning. Treat it that way. Stay away from what might have been, and look at what can be. – Marsha Petrie Sue
To many times we focus on our mistakes, our failures, or our flaws. This quote reminds me to accept, learn, and move forward from all the bad or negative holding us back. To many times we get stuck on “I really messed that one up” and remind ourselves about it constantly. Yes! it is OK to acknowledge that we messed up, or that things didn’t go our way. At the same moment, we need to learn from it and use that experience to be better. Use it to have a better day, a better life, but most of all to be a better you. It won’t always be “you” that will make a mistake; it can be a friend, a co-worker, or even a family member. We need to take the same steps to evaluate the type of relationships we are making and know when to cut someone loose that is being toxic to our lives. I hope that this will help anyone who is kicking themselves for something they might have done wrong. I know that some mistakes are bigger than others, but just know that you will get through it and every day is a chance to make it better.
